Is the rust just surface rust or is it holes?

I think it must be just surface rust around the fuel filler neck but the left hand light looks pretty severe,

 

These things are rust collectors they all rust in the same spots lol.

Will that tacho or cluster fit in a KE55 without Mods to the dash?

 

It will bolt in, but the wiring is different, so if you can wire it all up, it can be done.

My current car looked like it had surface rust under the left hand tail light but it had actually eaten through. 300$ is a bagain for an ae71. Another way to tell is opening the bonet, on a ae71 (a engine) the air filter is driver side of engine. (from memory) and the ke70 (k engine) has air filter on the other side of engine

Or if you're gonna go so far as to open the bonnet, you could just look at the bloody chassis number!

umm just a note iF You look at THE pic of the sign in the WINDow it actuALLy teLLS you its a ae71.. first line 4a engine runs perfectly.

 

not sure if it was tHIS one you were asking about the differnces or not.
