Heya well on the way out to our block of land (where our Toyota's reside), When i saw this AE71 Corolla for sale on the side of the road for $300 it had CS-X on the back of it and to my knowledge this is the top model corolla is it not? It had a tacho dash and 5 speed and the works and looked in reasonably nick with no rego, i was wondering was this a bargain? :jamie:

 

What other goodies did this model come with?

I was with Trent, and I must say she looks pretty neat for $300! Also we have a KE70 83 wagon, that has thrown a leg out of bed. And me and Trent are just pulling the motor apart for experience, as I have never done it! Anyways if anyone needs any KE70 wagon parts, eg doors, door trims, dash, the only things I'm keeping are the 5 speed, and a fluffy toy saying I love you. If your interested in anything, I will get some pics tommorow, or give me or Trent a PM.

Hey all,

 

Went out to our block of land today and decided to pull the motor out of the KE70 for experience, and we found it was totally shagged.

 

ae71neo: It's near Tamworth NSW, he wants $300 for it not sure if Trent wants it or not, I don't have the money to buy it just yet.

How do u tell the difference between a KE70 and an AE71?

Also, Ke70's have the early (lights sit into the car) front end, and the late front end, which is the same front end as the Ae71 (slanted front head lights)

 

Ae71's only have the late front end.

 

Ke70's have the Hicam badge above the metal groove that runs down the side of the car, on the front fenders.

Ae71's have the 1.6 badge just below the metal groove that runs down the side of the car, on the front fenders.

So yeah as you can see the 4K is a little rooted :jamie:, BHG and then they have burned out the starter motor trying to start it again.

 

Head looks ok though havn't had a look at the bottem end yet,

As for the AE71 i'am still toying with the idea of buying it, as i can see it has rust in the fuel filler cap region and the rear left taillight, is this rust easy to fix?
