MissSydneyCruising Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 that happened to me one night. was on the pc with my door shut, walked into the lounge room and all i could smell was fire, like id left the iron turned on burning clothes. freaked out! tried smelling all the electricals, the tv, fridge, my pc, my flatmates pc... the lot. couldn't smell it coming directly from anything. and it went away? Must have been a neighbour, but it didnt smell on the balconY :locked: Quote
Biggo Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Lol thats like the random banging sounds me puter makes. Sounds like the power supply blowing up (yes ive done it). But alas its probably just a creature inside it or sumthing. Quote
Xany Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 did you smell your flatmate?.. :locked: Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 So did you work out what it was Jason? Quote
Dan Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 Yes i've blown up a power supply before scared the shit out of me, bang spark and a cloud of smoke... just because i was young and stupid and didnt know what the 230/260 switch did :jamie: I worked out the hard way. On a off topic comment since i did that it would have surged the motherboard etc. and make the whole computer f@$ked, yes? Or does the power supply take the hit for everything? By the way, what did it end up being? Dan. Quote
