frasian Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 loving the fab work so far, the fuel set up is looking the goods and the ca looks like it sits right at home in that bay. keep the updates coming this is a great build so far and i was won over when i saw the ke20 and the 1200 as that is what is currently sitting in my workshop haha Quote
grundle84 Posted January 16, 2014 Author Report Posted January 16, 2014 Thanks frasian, I know it's not the greatest as I can only do the level of work with what tools I have but as long as my build gives others ideas and helps them with there's. Quote
ke2020 Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 any up dates mate. thinking of doing the same to my 26. love the build thread. keep it up. Quote
grundle84 Posted January 20, 2014 Author Report Posted January 20, 2014 Nah mate not yet, just buying stuff like some alloy tube and bends to make intercooler piping etc, I only get a few hours a week to work on it, is a long slow build this one. Thanks for the good comments. Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 just noticed this thread, some nice work there, will be a fun little car. Quote
grundle84 Posted February 12, 2014 Author Report Posted February 12, 2014 Got few hours this week to work on it so bent up the hard fuel lines under car fri back to front and fitted the main fuel filter, made some small u shape brackets I cut from bit of 50x25 rhs and welded nut to it so I didn't cut or drill through floor. Also welded up alloy donut and cut and welded it to intercooler to get it all to fit nice, just need to finish off I engine bay. Quote
grundle84 Posted February 12, 2014 Author Report Posted February 12, 2014 Really hard to see the whole fuel line setup under car but use your imagination, green masking tape around lines just cos they anodised black ones and didn't want to scratch them yet. Quote
ke2020 Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 looking good man. love this build. Quote
grundle84 Posted February 16, 2014 Author Report Posted February 16, 2014 Thanks ke2020 it means a lot. Hopefully another alloy donut turns up this weekend and some fuel fittings so I can do some more work, at least finish off intercooler piping. Quote
grundle84 Posted February 16, 2014 Author Report Posted February 16, 2014 Another intercooler piping weld job pic. Just for others ideas Quote
