Biggo Posted February 24, 2006 Author Report Posted February 24, 2006 Yair but I'm thinkin that 4agze's run a bit hotter imo. Quote
st.nick Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 Whats wrong with people today?? Thats easy.... :jamie: Quote
Dan Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 will NOT fit Thats thinking about putting it in your engine bay. Don't forget that my current project is the speedway car, and we relocate our radiators to the rollcage behind where the passenger would usually be... that way we can get maximum airflow more centred weight and just have a smooth one piece front end. Plus, mud would get onto the radiator and make it useless. Captain obvious to the rescue ^ Quote
Biggo Posted February 25, 2006 Author Report Posted February 25, 2006 lol Yair soz about that dan. But if it were in a standard roady the u would have no hoope. Also the neighbour has a cortina sweedway car on avgas and hes running the stocko radiator.... Quote
Dan Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 Has he got it in the relocated spot as well (presume so) and any chance you could ask him what size thermos hes running? Quote
Biggo Posted February 25, 2006 Author Report Posted February 25, 2006 yair its in the back like u said. Apparently he is the #1 driver in QLD or so hes says. But meh, that car sounds horn on avgas. Quote
ae71neo Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 erm... I'm not gonna go trusting a smallish fish like the ae71 one to keep my gze cool aye. And dan an L300 radiator WILL NOT fit lol i had a look. I know of a corolla with a 4agte that was running standard radiator just with a fan on it, with no problems at all. Sorry, i didnt know you had a 4agze. I just thought your rad was stuffed. Quote
NickZ Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 as i said ive now got one in my ke30, but didnt say that it is a supercharged 2T-GEU with a huge intercooler infront of it and I'm also circuit racing, because i thought you might have already know what i drive, but thats ok :jamie: I still am not using the fan on the track, i do use the fan entering the pits for about 5 min to cool it enough for the next race because of heat soak. Quote
Biggo Posted February 27, 2006 Author Report Posted February 27, 2006 Of course we know what u drive NickZ.... it sez so in ur sig but only thing is that ur in tasmania.........so never mind. Oh anyone know if its legal to cut up the front of the car? Like i know its gotta be engineered but in mean like it wont stop my car from being engineered will it? Quote
love ke70 Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 i think weve talked about that on msn biggo. what are you thinking of cutting up? Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Of course we know what u drive NickZ.... it sez so in ur sig but only thing is that ur in tasmania.........so never mind. Oh anyone know if its legal to cut up the front of the car? Like i know its gotta be engineered but in mean like it wont stop my car from being engineered will it? So if you know what he drives.... I don't think a 4AGZE is going to run any hotter than his engine with the SC and the intercooler in front of the radiator. He gave you a cheap easy PROVEN solution, and you disregarded it. He runs NO fan and it still doesn't get hot, you could run thermo fans and remove any doubt of it getting hot. Nickz, I will pm you about that radiator setup, I need something a little better for the ol SC K engines. Quote
Biggo Posted February 27, 2006 Author Report Posted February 27, 2006 Yair Nick you forgot to mention that Love_ke also has one turd motor in his car :jamie: Anywho, ive already started cutting her up and ive been tols the radiator is actually soldered together so ill leave it with the bunnies at the radiator shop tomoz. FWIW, the vn radiators i had a look at are too tall for my car and only single core so its sorta not my type of thing to do making the bonnet stick open ready to eat them pedestirans... Quote
love ke70 Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 speaking to biggo just then he's said its just the sheet metal where the radiator screwed to. mine has been cut, i don't think hes cutting anything structural etc which is what i was thinking (and i think you were to?) Quote
Biggo Posted February 27, 2006 Author Report Posted February 27, 2006 Beleive me bro, cutting is the ONLY way. Besides Love's rowboat is cut too AND ive got intercooling pipe to fit so it was always goin to be mangled. Quote
