TOMMYS Ke 11 Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Hi there Craig ! Nah wasn't me who found the shell for you as much as i would like to take some credit for this amazing build  . How did you go with door handles and mechanisms ? as i have just had a quick look among our collection and have a complete right hand door there that you are more than welcome to , i will have a bit more of a look tomorrow as i thought i had both doors :hmm: . Those guards look great ! but would not have expected any less :P . Looking at your sump i gather you run a heavy sump guard with the drain plug out the front ? not that i like to question you ! as i 'm pretty shore you have it all worked out :2thumbs: anyway let me know if you need the door handles and i will get them to you also keep them pics coming :y: . Cheers:- Stuart  Quote
supra2 Posted February 7, 2014 Author Report Posted February 7, 2014 Thanks guys. Iam just starting to see a dim glow at the end of the tunnel. Stuart. Ive got a local guy here looking through his ke30 parts this week end. If theres no luck with him, Ill be in contact with you. Are the spare doors you have ke30? The drain plug in the front is just for clearance. Its only 20mm but it makes some difference when the motor is as low as poss and the sump guard is as high poss. If the guard should flex up with a hit, Its two flat surfaces touching instead of a single plug point which may cause problems. Rally is 90% getting your car to the finish and 10% speed. To finish 1st ect. Test fitting and trimming the front guards before paint. Quote
TOMMYS Ke 11 Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) Hi Craig ! yes the right door is of a KE30 ! it appears that i may have already got rid of the left door as i remember it was pretty bent up in the prang (Boys being boys LOL ) The right door is in reasonable condition and with a bit of panel work by the wright person ( Such as your self ;) ) it would make a good spare door and i also have a fairly straight boot , both of which are no good to me as they came with a wreck i was given for the running gear and you are more than welcome to the both of them for freight charge only . I don't like throwing any thing out as you never know when it might just help some one out  any way if you need them you can call me on my mob 0428 574248 and discuss further :y: . Cheers:- Stuart  Where is your location ? Edited February 8, 2014 by TOMMYS Ke 11 Quote
TRD ke70 Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) Craig is in Toowoomba, Geddes st Stu Edited February 8, 2014 by TRD ke70 Quote
TOMMYS Ke 11 Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 Thanks Chris ! probably cheaper to buy a whole car up there than freight a door and boot lid HAHA but if Craig needs the door handle & mechanism that wouldn't cost to much to post :offtopic: but what are you up to with the ke70 after your accident ? damn shame Chris as that was another great build thread that i followed from the start and i hope the plans are to build another  . Cheers:- Stuart  Quote
TRD ke70 Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 I think Tony (TRD) is going to re-shell it, but not sure. Quote
