Tough_little_ke20 Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 How'd the front guards come up? Quote
supra2 Posted December 18, 2013 Author Report Posted December 18, 2013 Have,nt got to them yet Justin. Iam in the process of making a mold for the bonnet and a couple of roof vents for a few friends. Bit more carbon fibre bling and door catches are on. Quote
Tough_little_ke20 Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Amazing the differance a bit of black paint makes on the catches isn't it, did you make that carbon fibre piece or can you buy flat sheets of it already resined ect, just needing to be cut to shape? The reason being I am wanting to make carbon fibre door trims for mine and that would make life so much easier Quote
supra2 Posted December 18, 2013 Author Report Posted December 18, 2013 A good friend of mine, Chris Scott of TRD KE70 fame, made a sheet for me on some glass. Most of it got used in the Celica but I keep finding off cuts big enough to make these little bits of trim. Gloss black engine enamel. No primer needed and tough as nails. Detailing in a can. Quote
InSaNiTy Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 I took to many photos at this point. Here are a few more. NOT POSSIBLE! MOAR photos! MOAR! :) Top work as always Craig, I assume you're doing the painting yourself too? Looks too good for a rally car paint job! How many coats are you doing and what type of paint? Different paint for the lower doors and sills? Keep the updates coming! Quote
Tough_little_ke20 Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Yeh that was my plan make it up a a pane of glass Quote
corollaart Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Goodness me :2thumbs: :2thumbs: Quote
supra2 Posted December 19, 2013 Author Report Posted December 19, 2013 Thanks Stephen. Paint is 3 coats of 2 pack A1 Ford winter white. Ive put some anti stone chip on the sills, but nothing really works for rally cars. Iam after the large retaining nut on the wiper pivots. If some one has a spare to sell, it would be greatly appreciated. Quote
DZach23 Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 Awesome Thread! I enjoy seeing updates in this thread PM'd regarding Nut^^ Quote

supra2 Posted December 21, 2013 Author Report Posted December 21, 2013 Thats funny but with a hint of truth about it. I does take a long time to "click" with a new nav before you can really trust and commit to a flat out blind crest just because they say so. I think the first question a new nav gets asked is. How much do you weigh? lol. Mold for the bonnet is made. Quote
