supra2 Posted January 26, 2014 Author Report Posted January 26, 2014 Already been through a set and a half of holes saws on this car. I guess it cheaper than asking Toyota for an all alloy WRC rally door to fit a KE30 LOL. Rally Cams from LC Engineering have arrived and also started the mock up of the new race sump. Quote
Medicine_Man Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 that sump looks a bit pourous, lol. coming together sweet now. can't wait to hear this engine.. Quote
supra2 Posted January 26, 2014 Author Report Posted January 26, 2014 Cheers Justin. It should seal once it gets oil won't it? lol Old sump cut off and new plate ready to be folded and welded. Quote
Morguemaus Posted January 27, 2014 Report Posted January 27, 2014 Wrong type of tape. Bit of racetape and she'll be right mate. Quote
Robski Posted January 27, 2014 Report Posted January 27, 2014 Nah....... remember anything and everything can be solved with enormous amounts of electrical tape. Quote
supra2 Posted January 27, 2014 Author Report Posted January 27, 2014 Making sure new sump will fit the hole before final welding. Quote
supra2 Posted January 31, 2014 Author Report Posted January 31, 2014 Checking the new sump for leaks and finished fitting out the baffling. Though I had It sealed first, but found 3 small pin holes that needed a touch up. Quote
TOMMYS Ke 11 Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 I do love your work Craig ! always spot on and so much detail and i think i can say for everyone on rollaclub we all look forward to reading and looking at the progress of this fine little Rolla it almost feels like we are in the shed with you LOL and keep the fantastic work up , it will be a shame to put it on the rally track but that's what it is built for so take it out and enjoy it as much as we have following the build. Cheers:- Stuart ( Thomas dad ). Quote
supra2 Posted January 31, 2014 Author Report Posted January 31, 2014 Thanks again Stuart for your always kind and surportive comments. I seem to remember it was you who found this shell for me at a wrecker which makes this whole build your fault,LOL. But I might be wrong. Congrates again on your COTY award. Still after a few parts if someone has some spares to sell. Need both headlight buckets with adjusting screws and retaining springs. Also both inner door opening latches with connecting rods. Quote
cuzzo Posted February 1, 2014 Report Posted February 1, 2014 I have some spare doors you could probably get the latches from. Got some pictures on what you need? Quote
supra2 Posted February 1, 2014 Author Report Posted February 1, 2014 Thanks cusso. The photos are latches off a Celica but you can see what Iam after. Also need the connecting rods for them as well. PM me if you can help and we will sort out the details. Quote
