InSaNiTy Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 How's this Corolla looking for the 15th March at Bago? :) Give her a shakedown at the Armidale Rallysprint with us on the 22nd February! Quote
supra2 Posted January 18, 2014 Author Report Posted January 18, 2014 Its moving along pretty good Stephen. I think those dates might be pushing it though. Its just work, time and money. Ill just see how it goes. The plan is to give its first run here at our local Hirstglen Motorsport Complex and a couple of rallies in QLD to see how it goes against the usual suspects. We have had such a good time at the Bago rallies over the years. If the car is ready Ill get an entry in. Tappet cover and bell housing with a splash of Toyota Group B red. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) This is gonna be far too nice to rally. Edited January 19, 2014 by B.L.Z.BUB Quote
kickn5k Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 This is gonna be far too nice to rally. That's for sure!!! I'm waiting for the "it's not THAT nice up close." Quote
BUZ440 Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 Definitely burnt rubber worthy, I like dirty girls Quote
supra2 Posted January 20, 2014 Author Report Posted January 20, 2014 Its got a few ugly spots. Not saying where though. After its first rally it will be just another rally car with a few stone chips and scratches. Bell housing on and gearbox fitted. Quote
TRD ke70 Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 This is gonna be far too nice to rally. That's what they said about his last one, and that got rallied. Looking good Craig. Quote
supra2 Posted January 20, 2014 Author Report Posted January 20, 2014 Thats a great looking car. Even if I do say myself. It was amazing to meet George Donaldson at that event. He worked on these Group B Celicas in the 80s and became TTE manager during the GT4s days in the early 90s. Quote
supra2 Posted January 21, 2014 Author Report Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) Sealed up the hole in trans tunnel. Teddy might recognise the gear knob I borrowed from his KE70 during a rally many years ago. Edited January 21, 2014 by supra2 Quote
kickn5k Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Seems such a shame to hide that anodized billet Tremec shifter plate. Alpine classic rally was an awesome event entrant wise. Everything from 2 131 abarths, a 240RS(only fj20 powered) and more YB and BDA powered escorts than you can poke a stick at. Sadly only one Toyota. I'll try and find the photos from scrutiny. Quote
jimi91 Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 Pics are here mate ;) See ya JImi Quote
supra2 Posted January 22, 2014 Author Report Posted January 22, 2014 Awsome, Alpine is added to the bucket list. They need a few more Toyotas. Quote
supra2 Posted January 24, 2014 Author Report Posted January 24, 2014 Lightened some window runners and got the new seals and trim back in the door. Quote
kickn5k Posted January 25, 2014 Report Posted January 25, 2014 So I gather drill bits and hole saws are the rally car builders most used tools. Haha. Quote
