Hi,

Is it possible that you can write down what parts from what car you used to conger the steering.

And also maybe an how to....

I have the same car and really want RP steering on it...

Really nice work, loving it!! Keep up the nice work:-)

Cheers snot. I think its worked out pretty good.

The res is the same height as standard but slightly back and more centred in the car. It also keeps the brake fluid away from the exhaust which is on the drivers side with this new 2rz motor.

Timj. All the steering is from a ra60 celica. I also have a 60mm spacer under the steering wheel.

Ive had the fluid feed hoses made in rubber so they can be clamped off to allow brake repairs.

Another day another update, I wish I progressed like this!

I've been wanting to do similar in my car for a while and probably push the seat rear ward on custom mounts, what have you used there, RHS and angle plate welded to some plates where it meets the sills and trans tunnel?

Cheers

Ive used 40x40x3mm angle for the mounts. There is 75x75x3mm plate on the trans tunnel but none on the inner sill as ive linked that side to the roll cage.

I remember one transport "engineer" telling me any mods had to be in 6mm plate.

I did ask, but he could'nt tell me why a piece of 6mm welded to some 1mm sheet metal body work would be less likely rip out than a piece of 3mm.

Seats are in for the moment.

Thanks Steve.

Yep, first round of the rallymaster 2014 is the plan with hopefully a shake down event before then to iron out any bugs.
