altezzaclub Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 Ok, it was here- http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/64240-my-3tc-with-a-turbo-weber-problems/page__pid__643010#entry643010 What is the compression ratio? I would expect lowered compression so off-boost it will be pretty sad. What sort of cam specs? Any ideas on the mixture when off boost? Got a dyno printout? Quote
kickn5k Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 What is the rear housing size on the turbo?? Also is it the bush bearing Garrett t3/t4 your talking about? Quote

altezzaclub Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Did you build it or buy it like it is?? Quote
pablo escobar again Posted January 18, 2013 Author Report Posted January 18, 2013 I bought it as is got a bit of work to do material wise silver strips around wind shield and strip on front of bonnet and interior and definitely down grave turbo to reduce lagg will try and up load photos haveing trouble though Quote
altezzaclub Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 Was it like this when you bought it.. maybe the reason the builder sold it! Sounds like you need to start from the bottom and check eveything, ignition, compression, mixture ratios... and see if he got the basics right to start with. Quote
pablo escobar again Posted January 18, 2013 Author Report Posted January 18, 2013 Thx will do need to learn heaps knowledge very limited on cars Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 sounds about right. The general sizing of a t3/t4 is approximately gt35/40. So either up the boost significanty to make the lag worthwhile, or down grade to factory s15 turbo for cheap, or gtrs with .63 rear for more $$$. Quote
