drift freak Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 Wow this is a massive project. Can I ask why??? Why not just buy a 2dr???? Apart from that good luck and keep us posted. Luke Quote
LukeAE71 Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 In certain countries they didn't get two doors.. Just like we didn't get four doors. Quote
altezzaclub Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 Can you get the long doors and the rear glass for it locally? You could pump the sills full of expanding foam to stiffen them now you have moved the B pillar. That would help stop the body flexing. Quote

crunk81us Posted January 9, 2013 Report Posted January 9, 2013 people actually do that ^ i was thinking about it the other day.. would be good for race car repairs too ;) does it kinda waterproof it too? keep it dry.. slower rust? Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted January 9, 2013 Report Posted January 9, 2013 I did some quick googling and some expandable foams are water resistant. The main one I get locally (expanda foam from memory) is definitely not water resistent, it acts like a sponge! Quote
altezzaclub Posted January 9, 2013 Report Posted January 9, 2013 It certinaly stiffens panels up, but I don't know which are water repellent and which aren't. I used to use the 2-pot mix, which set off chemically with one bottle of hardner and one bottle of resin joined at the gun, but these one-shot aerosols might be quite different in water properties. Its great for forming 3D shapes, such as ribs under a f'glass bonnet or guard. Ooze it into a channel of cardboard then glass over it again. Quote
fahrugunnardi Posted January 30, 2013 Author Report Posted January 30, 2013 slowly restoration... next i will update new photo... :) Quote
