troyota Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 Hi all , I'm currently seeking a new daily ride, my thoughts are 03 Caldina or 04 Stegea . I have two small kids , Stagea has the advantage of space - Caldina has the advantage of being a better city car. I have read nearly every forum & post on the subject of comparisons just looking for some Rollaclub Feedback as most Rollaclubbers keep it real ! Both have pros and cons, I just can't decide.... wagn Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 My friend had a Stagea i wasn't overly impressed can't really say too much about them as i never drove one.My mum owns a second gen GT-T caldina and I'm fairly impressed with the car. It's quite reliable she's driven it from sydney to adelaide & over to vic and back to adelaide. its had a few regular maintenance such as radiator and few other wear and tear things done. Its fairly quick for what it is her's is auto and the manual mode with shift buttons on the steering wheel is cool it shifts nice and fast too. feels like its got more power than my sisters WRX Club spec evo thing and does fairly well in the hills in stock form even tho its due for new front shocks. everyone thats been it it has been impressed.I'd personnaly go with the Caldina plenty of room in them too.Set of coilovers and wheels & tyres is all it needs. rian Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 (edited) Those are two of the weirdest options I've ever heard for a daily/family/city car. Just sayin'. Edited December 31, 2012 by rian Quote
LukeAE71 Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 jzx100 chaser... not much room for kids stuff but mine takes both of ours and a twin pram well. Also is way better than either of the above options performance wise etc in my opinion Quote
troyota Posted December 31, 2012 Author Report Posted December 31, 2012 Yes , I am a little unconventional . My weekend car is a 64 Thunderbird Convertible My bike is a Road Legal Honda Z50 And I'm currently building an AE71. Quote
altezzaclub Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 Wife had a Stagea for a few years as a company car. We owned a Cifero at the time, then the Altezza, anad she thought the Stagea was great. Roomy, more than enough modern geegaws, and it went fast enough. It had a button for 4WD. She likes big cars, hates the KE70, drives an R31 wagon at the moment.... Drive them both and check out the handling, one is a RWD with 4WD and one is a FWD with 4WD attached.. Quote
