Hillynath Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Hey guys, this is probably silly but I'm just looking for someone to shed some light on the easiest way to remove the front bumper on my Ae71 (Slant obviously). It's looking a little sad and droopy and I was hoping to perhaps straighten it somewhat, is it possible with these or simply just find another one that's straight? Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 You can do some straightening, but its often best done with a jack and a couple of bricks while its still on the car. There are bolts into the panels under the ends of the bumpers, plus bolts down into the lower front rail from above, as well as some from in front into the ends of the rails. Also, the wiring on the lights needs to be unclipped. Quote
Hillynath Posted December 23, 2012 Author Report Posted December 23, 2012 Alright I'll have a play and see how I go. Does it all come off as one piece or do I need to separate the black plastic and the reinforcement inside? If you get my drift. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 (edited) Its all one piece. 4 bolts chassis rail in the engine bay (one side under the battery 2 bolts in lower front rad support Possible a bolt either side in the ends attaching it to the guards. (usually missing). Edited December 23, 2012 by B.L.Z.BUB Quote
