crunk81us Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 Hi all Trying to figure out what to use for a radiator on my project. Firstly, would the original radiator be able to handle the cooling requirements of a smallport 4age? secondly is there a radiator say of something cheap (excel, civic etc) that will do the job, and possibly have inlet and outlet on the rhs. I have been looking at threads on here but can't find where anyone says which rad they used. Cheers :) Quote
TRD ke70 Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 we use a sv21 camry rad, it's cheap new, the bottom hose is on the right side, but the top is closer to the left side. This is in a KE70, so could be a little big for a 20. Quote
crunk81us Posted December 16, 2012 Author Report Posted December 16, 2012 Cheers I'll have a look Quote
Jordain Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 I've got a ke20 one thats been convertered for a 4ages.. had a leak test done when i had the bottum outlet moved to the RHS... Worked perfectly... only reason i took it out was i wanted to have an alloy radiator and make it sit flush with the rad support to clean it up. Quote
crunk81us Posted December 17, 2012 Author Report Posted December 17, 2012 The camry one looked a bit big.. I found an EK civic radiator is about right.. ordered a new 2 core alloy one with fan and shroud. (for only slightly more than the wrecker wanted for the old one without fans etc..) Quote
