So I have installed a 4age with jdm t40 bellhousing & ta22 t50 into my ke20.

I have installed the clutch master from ta22, and the slave cylinder from the original 4age fwd box.

it is sort of working in so much that i push the pedal and the slave cylinder moves.. but not enough.. it needs to travel at least double the amount it is currently travelling to disengage clutch properly.

looking at the adm ta22 slave cylinder it is smaller in length to the fwd one i have used, so i am assuming (because i have never really worked on hydro clutch before) that my master cylinder is too small to push the slave cylinder far enough.

Is that likely?

I really would like to just replace the slave cylinder and fix the problem, but i don't know if it will.

Please tell me there is a way to make this work without replacing the ta22 master??

or is there something i am missing?

please help

Try adjusting the pushrod for the master cylinder first. That's the part that connects the clutch pedal to the master cylinder, you can adjust it (make it longer) in order to displace more fluid from the master cylinder.

And also make sure you have completely bled the clutch line.

thanks ^ i have adjusted as far as it will go and bled it. I might bleed it again to check.

I may also be able to re-do the lever system i made to change from cable to hydro.. make it longer therefore creating more travel. My issue is, that i can't see me getting the extra distance that i need to.

^ heres my build so far.

there is a small amount of slop in the keyway? that connects the clutch pedal to the spindle, but again it is minute in comparison to the amount of travel i need to gain.
