ohk so ive got an auto 1983 3 speed and i also have a 84 manual corolla 1.6 ltr and could someone please tell me the exact steps n stuff i would need to do to change the 82 to a manual, please help?

What engine in the 83?

the 84 has 1.6 litre and the 82 has 1.3ltr

They are completely different, you will need to swap engines, cross member, the 1.6 has a hydraulic clutch, tail shaft etc.

So basically all the running gear. Why not use the manual car?

 

EDIT: Unless you get a K-T gearbox bellhousing.

Then you'll need to swap everything.

Its worth it-

 

Swap motor & gearbox,crossmember, pedal box, clutch hydraulics and sort the taiolshaft & exhaust, and then you're ready to convert the 4AC into a 4AGE later. The 1.6 gear adds to the price when you sell it, it makes it easier for anyone else to do a 4AGE conversion.
