They are completely different, you will need to swap engines, cross member, the 1.6 has a hydraulic clutch, tail shaft etc.

So basically all the running gear. Why not use the manual car?

 

EDIT: Unless you get a K-T gearbox bellhousing.

Its worth it-

 

Swap motor & gearbox,crossmember, pedal box, clutch hydraulics and sort the taiolshaft & exhaust, and then you're ready to convert the 4AC into a 4AGE later. The 1.6 gear adds to the price when you sell it, it makes it easier for anyone else to do a 4AGE conversion.
