Pauly35 Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 Hi guys i have an oil leak where my fuel pump connects to my block. I have a 7K and i want to know if its better to use the - Gasket sealer (blue paste) ----- CURRENTLY ON THERE LEAKING Or - An Actual gasket kit ????????????????????? or both as i have heard ? cheers Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 Both to be sure. Gasket paper is cheap. Quote
troyota Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 New gaskets fitted with old fashioned non hardening gasket cement such as Permatex. Try to avoid silastics/silicones in this instance. Quote
19914afc Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 Toyota FIPG is good for just about anything but as said should be able to get a proper gasket or as said get some gasket paper and make one. Quote
Pauly35 Posted November 10, 2012 Author Report Posted November 10, 2012 ok thanks heaps... ill go find a gasket if not get some paper. and try use a good cement type sealer cheers Quote
bruce Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 I've replaced my fuel pump block gasket twice and it still leaks. Gave the block a good sand and used Permatex along with the paper gasket. You could also get a new black plastic insulator thing if it's old and hard. Quote
