It's_AUDM_Yo Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 (edited) I know there is a few threads on this but none seem to be the same as the issues I'm having. So every light in the entire car(this includes parkers) works but the headlights. none of the wires coming of the stalk are broken which seems to be the common issue. I've tried swapping the relay with others that I know work. There is no blown fuses. The problem started after my 4age conversion. I did unbolt all the wires and stuff from the drivers side guard( wiper motor and etc) Are any of the headlight components? Earth or something? Edited November 8, 2012 by It's_AUDM_Yo Quote
ke70dave Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 There is a few big earths down the front somewhere that are usually bolted to chassis somewhere, i recall one of them having somethign to do with headlights. i un did mine once, forgot to put it back on, crazy things happened. Grab a wiring diagram for the headlights, should be able to figure it out from that? Quote
19914afc Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 Try unplugging and checking the fuse able link near the battery that was the problem with my T18. Quote

Are these earths on the rad support? Try unplugging and checking the fuse able link near the battery that was the problem with my T18. My battery is in the boot and runs the ae92 which then does the ke70 loom. So its not there. Quote
pt_y2k Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 Check what your missing at the headlamp plug with a circuit tester or meter...rule out whether its an earth problem or power probem...go from there..:) Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted November 8, 2012 Author Report Posted November 8, 2012 (edited) 0.1v at each pin So i'm guessing its probably an earth I just can't find the bastards Edited November 8, 2012 by It's_AUDM_Yo Quote
rian Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 (edited) Lol, how is it that you managed to wire your engine conversion but you cannot figure this out? :harhar: Edited November 8, 2012 by rian Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 There is a ground off the dimmer/headlamp switch (white/black). And a ground off the instrument cluster (white/black) According to my wiring diagram those are the only 2 grounds off the headlight circuit. Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted November 8, 2012 Author Report Posted November 8, 2012 Lol, how is it that you managed to wire your engine conversion but you cannot figure this out? :harhar: I dunno, I've gotten seriously good at wiring on 4age's now probably cause mine was so ʞ©$ɟed. Its probably cause I can't find the shit for the lights everything is just scattered across the car. There is a ground off the dimmer/headlamp switch (white/black). And a ground off the instrument cluster (white/black) According to my wiring diagram those are the only 2 grounds off the headlight circuit. Do you know where they are by chance? Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted November 9, 2012 Author Report Posted November 9, 2012 Alright, Problem solved lost intrest in fixing them so I just re-wired them from scratch. Quote
