Heath. Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 hey guys. i have just bought 4age for my ke wagon. and am looking to freshin her up. now. most of the pulleys have been cracked or have chucks out of them. due to $h!t KeNts at the wreckers when they pulled it out of the car. any how if i were to go aftermarket pulleys, like $h!tty ebay ones or any other that are suggested. is it true that if you get cheap ebay jobs, they can undercharge the alternator and cause lots of little problems? Another things sorry guys. I am looking at freshing up the old heart so I'm trying to put together a list of things to get. pretty much starting..... now. 1. water pump (old ones fecked) 2. idler kit 3. new belts 4. spark plugs 5. leads. (running ITB's too) 6. 7. 8. and yeah thats it so far. Quote

Heath. Posted November 6, 2012 Author Report Posted November 6, 2012 what is the difference between a fwd pulley and an ae86 pulley... arnt they the same f9ckin thing? Quote
TRD ke70 Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 No there not, found that out the hard way!! I think, from memory the AE86 sit back about 3mm. Quote
ZacKE70 Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 if you are using front wheel drive water pump then you need fwd pulley.. but with the rear wheel drive water pump as it is bigger An sits out further from the motor you need.rwd pulley that sits back further to suit it. Quote
Heath. Posted November 11, 2012 Author Report Posted November 11, 2012 holy hell hahaa that is so stupid! hahah as if they wouldnt be the same. but thanks guys! Quote

ZacKE70 Posted November 11, 2012 Report Posted November 11, 2012 they will fit if you are going to run the front wheel drive setup waterpumps and everything like that Quote
Heath. Posted November 12, 2012 Author Report Posted November 12, 2012 hmm alright then. well i can get the the standar water pump through work easy as. and they are in stock. so i think an 86's water pump would be a tad hard to obtain. but other the the water pump it all should be right. cheers for you help guys. Quote
