Feral4K Posted January 12, 2015 Author Report Posted January 12, 2015 Thanks stu and tommy! Your comments to everybody on here are always good motorvation, as far as COTY I'm not sure as the car hasnt been raced yet however its veeeeery close to finished, I think id have my work cut out with things like STEERFAST and RALLYROLLA being driven and raced already. However got more boxes ticked off recently, car now has a tailshaft, four speed and an ANDRA approved tailshaft loop, just waiting on front brakes and strut modifications and its drivetime, If anybodys interested the car is being entered in the LARDNER PARK MOTORFEST in march for some skid action, well be running in the PRO CLASS due to the NOS but were not shy on taking the little bitch out on the pad and smashing a few eardrums and no doubt many bits lol stay tuned vids will be coming, cheers rod..... Feral4K Posted January 20, 2015 Author Report Posted January 20, 2015 Couldnt help myself  Bit of new signage... 1 Quote
Feral4K Posted January 30, 2015 Author Report Posted January 30, 2015 Bit happening lately, did our best to fix what we suspected was yet another rear main seal, cause after 30 mins tuning time if you rev it above 8 grand its seems to lose oil from between the sandwich plate and bellhousing? However the flywheel, pressure plate and clutch is completely dry , leading us to beleive it was the aftermarket sump gasket i installed whilst building the engine, basically weve siliconed up everything reasonably possible and retourqued the sump bolts another 3lbs or so in the vague hope it fixes the bleeding, lets see how we go time to put it back together, also fitted new throwout bearing and spigot ..... only the finest BOC locker one way lsd for the FERAL three weeks to go before debut wish him luck guys itll be a mission.cheers dad....... Feral4K Posted February 3, 2015 Author Report Posted February 3, 2015 Whos coming to watch it snap in half at 7500 rpm! Quote
Feral4K Posted February 13, 2015 Author Report Posted February 13, 2015 Needed an exhaust system as a requirement for the burnout comp and everything else so this is what we came up with, muffler included! although i doubt the little muffler will be much chop in the db department lol..... Quote
Feral4K Posted February 13, 2015 Author Report Posted February 13, 2015 Ps angle of muffler is due to us deciding to go under the custom crossmember not inside it due to so much fuel, nitrous and brake lines running through the tunnel area.... Quote
Feral4K Posted February 19, 2015 Author Report Posted February 19, 2015 Exhaust sounds really good ( can actually run the car in the shed without neighbors hating on us!) , So today i put the finishing touches on it with a bit of a homemeade heatshield of sorts...... Quite happy with the final result, has a good old school purpousefull look i reckon, However the rest of the car is in quite a state with final wiring , assembly , etc going on lol hope youre all enjoying the updates, cheers dad....... Ohh by the way, ive got no idea how to post the vids so hit up clevo to do it guys, he could use a tune up lol......... Quote
Feral4K Posted February 27, 2015 Author Report Posted February 27, 2015 Just wanted to give a shameless plug to peter robinson for his help in sorting out our braking parts issues in such a short timeframe TOP BLOKE can't thank him enough! Quote
TOMMYS Ke 11 Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 Hi Cleveland ! Well it looks like no COTY this year  which was a real shame as there has been some great builds and your little BEAST is one of them  . Anyway how are things looking for MOTORFEST ? any chance of a vid of the little BEAST running as I think I'm probably not the only one who wants to hear this thing fire up :rocknroll: and thread some tyres :P and don't worry about the neighbours they will get over it or maybe they will just move out :lmao: anyway I'm trying to talk my mate into bringing his little Hilux ute ( 302 Windsor ) down to MOTORFEST and catch up with you but if not have a great weekend and smash some tyres of the little BEAST and show the big boys how it done :2thumbs: and have FUN  . Cheers:- Stuart & Thomas  Go the little ROLLAS. Quote
Feral4K Posted February 27, 2015 Author Report Posted February 27, 2015 Yep shell be ready to rock next weekend, albeit aspirated as the gas setup is untested, not that I'm worried it should have plenty to offer without it, just need to put reco master cylinder in it bleed brakes and its test run time!, vids will be posted if you get the chance to come down to lardner be sure to come n say hi wed love to catch up. Feral4K Posted March 5, 2015 Author Report Posted March 5, 2015 Cars entered and now it wants to play up!, Everything from voltage regulators melting, broken accelerator cables, stuck floats, needles the whole shebang lol, but not until after a good blast in it where it was happy to light up the avons with a second gear clutch dump just to keep us keen ahhh kseries fun... Quote
Feral4K Posted March 7, 2015 Author Report Posted March 7, 2015 Popped its cherry!, Car went quite well today had an accelerator cable stretch only giving us half throttle and a very sticky burnout pad which ended up blowing the headgasket out of it after a few donuts and some pretty wild 7 grand clutchdumps lol heres some pics.... with a bit more sorting out and the gas this little critter will be a blast. TOMMYS Ke 11 Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 vids-vids-vids-vids LOL but get the message ! WE WANT VIDS ; anyway congrats on getting this little beast out on the pad and treating it with no respect :P as with all motor sport there are always teething problems to sort out :hmm: What head gasket were you running ? as we have found that it is well worth paying the extra and using genuine Toyota ones ( Thank to Stu Kickn5K ) good advise as usual :2thumbs: anyway all the best with sorting it out and look forward to seeing this little beast in action but in the mean time we all want VIDS-VIDS-VIDS :harhar: LOL and have a great day  .
