gtnickk Posted December 17, 2012 Author Report Posted December 17, 2012 A Question for the gurus. I had one genuine key for the car for the ignition barrel. The car has Solex door locks hence the reason for one key I had to replace my ignition barrel and key, because the barrel played up and key got stuck inside the barrel. Not thinking i threw the damage barrel and key out. As a result. Now i can't open my fuel cap. Besides damaging the fuel cap is there away to get it off with out a key or does anyone have blanks Etc: Any tips would be great. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 Find someone with an old corolla and try their key. Quote
rolla van man Posted December 20, 2012 Report Posted December 20, 2012 Find someone with an old corolla and try their key. Always works hahha my corolla key opens and starts pretty well all my mates rollas, also corona and celica keys work in mine but dunno if that's just cos my locks are worn. But try keys outta another corolla would be a good start :) Quote

gtnickk Posted April 25, 2013 Author Report Posted April 25, 2013 The Next things i want to do to the car are. I have a pair of Old School Recaro's which need to be Re-trimmed to suit the vehicle. So order is Re-trim the interior Source and install a pair of DCOE carbs Also Does anyone Know someone in Newcastle area that does custom Alloy work. Quote
ke20rolla Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 Love the colour mate, and super neat. One thing though I reckon would look better is to remove the "toyota" badge from the grille as it would look a little less clutered. ;) ;) Quote
skuttle87 Posted June 14, 2013 Report Posted June 14, 2013 Hey there gtnickk, don't mean to hijack your thread, just had a quick question about your new shoes.... Are they Nemoto Mesh? 15x7 +20? Any clearance issues? Got a set of 14x6 and 14x7 Hotwires on my 55 at the moment, an I'm keen as to get me a set like yours...?!?!? Cheers, Scott. Quote
gtnickk Posted June 17, 2013 Author Report Posted June 17, 2013 Hello Scott Yes they are Nemoto Mesh, no clearance issues what so ever. Quote
gtnickk Posted July 10, 2013 Author Report Posted July 10, 2013 Ok my next job is i want to make it stop better. I would like to fit a Nissan Skyline R31 rear diff to my car, or is there a better option for creating Disc brake rear. Does this require engineering in NSW. Quote
gtnickk Posted October 3, 2013 Author Report Posted October 3, 2013 (edited) Update Time My Gilmer drive caused a leak in the water pump i believe, so i swapped water pumps and re installed the Gilmer pulley. No more leaks. I don't trust the factory temp gauge so i decided to install a VDO gauge. This got me motivated and i fitted a 40 mm DCOE Weber on a Warneford manifold. That i had laying around. Still yet to work out my linkage for this set-up. Also swapped rocker covers from painted to polished. will post pics soon. Excuse the dusty car and the shitty phone pic Edited December 16, 2016 by gtnickk Quote
