kazzpog33 Posted October 17, 2012 Report Posted October 17, 2012 Just planning to replace a leaky and clanking diff in my Ke35... What should I put? I'm hearing of hilux diff to be so good... what is the diff code? where can i find the markings? Thanks! Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted October 17, 2012 Report Posted October 17, 2012 (edited) The diffs arent marked the body is on the build plate, if your lucky. A car that has a borgy has no stamp on the plate usually. Anyhow, look for the Hilux diff with the narrowest track and make that fit so its not too wide for your chassis. RN25 from memory. kazzpog33 Posted October 21, 2012 Author Report Posted October 21, 2012 Thanks guys for the info... will this one fit? I look at frosty's link and see the code G142 and i believed this one have as indicated on the plate. The seller says it came from 1980 hilux 4WD and he is selling both diff front and rear. see pic bleow.. hope this one will do. Quote
Evan G Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 does he have the bellhousing/gearbox still? best way to see if it fits is by measuring across the leaf spring pin eyes and compairing it to the stock corolla diff Quote
styler Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 Hilux diff is heaps of work though... what motor is it behind? Quote
19914afc Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 My hilux diff was pretty easy to swap mounts over and if its going in a ke35 even easier. Quote
flyinwall Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 just remember that the 4wd hilux is a 6 stud not the 5 stud falcon/camry/subaru pattern Quote
