Head Work On A 4Afe

I have a stock 4afe I want to get the ports done polished and bigger and over sized valves but I want to know will I need bigger injectors or any thing like that

i think you need to understand exactly what bigger valves, porting and polishing actually does. and what effect this has on the engine.

Bill sherwood shares a bit of info on 4afe and 7afe heads, he reckons there is one special one which will flow better than a 4age head with a bit of work etc etc.

You're looking in the wrong spot then (or you're only looking at blacktop 20Vs). You can buy a whole AE82 Twincam or wrecked AE92 SX/GTi for that price.

have you considered that doing that work to the engine would cost the same as the $1500 you didn't want to spend?

I want to keep the 4afe not replace it I only just fitted it to replace the 4afc

I just want to know what work to do to this head while its being reconed like ported polished over sized vavles stuff like that to improve power if I do any of this work do I need to change anything else?
