its not turbo'ed yet, i may not happen if i get quicker as there is really no need. Will just wait and see.

Ive got lots of handling things to do that should make the car better, the brakes are fine for the 4 laps but much more and they could start ot over heat , I do need to change the front brake pads as they are the ones that where on the struts when i bought them from the wreckers, who knows what they are.

Its fun driving it around the track. I find it doesnt need much steering input for the corners. you kind of point it in the direction and it just goes, Its not sliding but it feels like it steering at the rear aswell.

is it legal to redrill the stud pattern in wheels? i have to come check this thing out some time, you should bring it to the club day at baskerville on the 20th of august, there would be some cars for you to dice with like the ke11 20valve NA and some other rollas and dattos

for these wheel it is ok to redrill as the backing in that area is solid, its not like the new cast wheels where its hollowed out between the holes.

i would like to come to hobart for a run. i really want to have a go at the driftmeets, but its too far to come and break something and i don't have a car tralier or a car to toe one.

But i do race at symmons, and will be there on the 27th august for the next meeting.

Well 1 and a half races and rattle, rattle, rattle.

Went back to the pitts, and it stopped making the noise, I pulled off the tappet cover checked to make sure i didnt drop a valve or something, everything seemed fine, I look after my engine change the oil before every meeting, i checked the oil and it was still nice and clear brown, pulled the spark plugs and they where all the same colour and burning well.

I packed up and started heading home about half way home it got real noisy and lost all power.

My mate came and towed me home. as soon as i got homei started pulling the engine down, thought it might have been a blown head gasket, but after removing the head i couldnt see any problems, then noticed number 4 piston had 3 shiny spots on it, hmmmm looked at the head and 3 tiny shiny spots, turned the crank and all the pistons moved up and down, but #4 lagged behind a bit. Pulled the engine out and stripped it down to fing lovley gold flake oil and gold deposits.

It spun #4 conrod bearing and had almost all gone, doesnt seem to be much damage. so total clean, new rings and bearings as ive pulled it down it should be all good.
