NickZ Posted December 8, 2006 Author Report Posted December 8, 2006 Second engine, this one is a auto engine and is clean, even behind the flex plate you could lick it :P , its that clean and they wouldnt have been able to clean it there. Everything is complete on it too, my first one was missing all kinds of small things, like sparkplug leads, wiring plugs, Bungs on all the openings (the red plastic covers on everything on this motor), Air con pump (not that i need it) etc. comp test on thins one is 220,230,225,235 Lets hope it lasts longer than the last one. NickZ Posted January 11, 2007 Author Report Posted January 11, 2007 I'm on holidays so i did a little work on the car's, I HATE polishing wheels but it had to be done. This polish is what i did the first wheel with, i ended up using another product and it was easier and did a better job, But the camera doesnt see much difference. Then the rest of the car needed cleaning as its been nealy 12 months since its last wash. Quote

NickZ Posted March 2, 2008 Author Report Posted March 2, 2008 (edited) Been a long while since a update, the old girl is looking a bit unloved. Ive been working on it slowly most of the time i CBF, But it will get there slowly. Stripped most of the stuff from the engine bay and started taking it back to metal and filling all the unnessary holes, Removed the brackets for the battery tray, just need some weld to fill the holes and then smoothing, other than 1 lower rear quarter panel this is all the rust in the car, will patch that next weekend and shou;ld be able to get the rest of the engine bay ready for paint then too. Medicine_Man Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 Did it have a fair bit of rust still? Shows how deceiving looks can be externally.. Quote
NickZ Posted March 2, 2008 Author Report Posted March 2, 2008 No it doesnt have any other rust apart from the front bit pictured and one lower rear quarter panel. rest is perfect. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Good to see an update on the old girl! :D Did you get some inspiration to work on yours after thursday/friday? Quote
