Ah you beat me to it. Those rb25 boxes are massive. I've got a fair bit of clearance around the FJ box in the 1600 but with a mates 1600 with FJ and same fit kit had to do a massive fabricated tunnel to get even a tight clearance.

How much clearance do you have around the box? I read you have a 25 box. They are big even comparing to a VLT box.

theres plenty of clearance around the box ....and is defeinatly a lot bigger .its got a bigger tunnel been replaced before i got the car ....but its just getting it over the crossmember ...is being a bit annoying with one person doing it

oh i didn't notice u where using a 25 box i thought u where going an rb20 box.

can't split the motor and box and drop it in in pieces

if all else fails that is what will have to be done ........ but at least now i know it all fits

You will have to cut that section out of the sump to clear the steering, its not a big deal and definately beats making a custom draglink.

I had to drop the crossmember to fit the motor in, but from memory i think the steering can be left bolted up, or mostly bolted up, once the motor is in everything will bolt back in place.

motors in bolted to the crossmember ... had to release steering, crossmember and brake mc... all thats left to do is bolt the crossmember up to the chassis. will have to wait till tomorrow...

gearbox is a reallllly tight fit ...and took all arvo to get it manoeuvred in...

shifter hole will be moved and welded on the weekend
