Medicine_Man Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Rumor has it in a few months time we may be having a day at the Mt. Cotton skidpan, day includes skidpan / motorkhana / lunch / LVMA from what I do believe. Price will now be more expensive than it used to be due to public liability costs, but trust me its worth every cent, don't miss the opportunity.. Quote
demuire Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Depending on timing I would probably be interested. And nick, you have 4wd (and a shiteload more power), if you don't beat me I don't know what to say... :P Quote
Medicine_Man Posted June 10, 2003 Author Report Posted June 10, 2003 But remember, it comes at a price, you have to wash it when your done... (don't worry about making it all shiny for the day, cause the diesel just makes a mess of it while your out there having fun) Quote
irokin Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Get urself a set of slicks :P hehehe. Ive done a mt coot-tha night run...and on 5 inch wide stocko steelies...you really can't fang it too fast! Quote
Wood§tok Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 no one can touch the almighty FWD camry for dirtyness!!! Quote
demuire Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 re tyres: don't worry, mine are shit bald too. And no I don't have money to buy new ones :P So it'll be dorifto mode for me I recon... Quote
irokin Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Bald tyres are all the more fun in the skid pan! The QLD transport Mt Cotton instructors car had barely legal tyres on there ON PURPOSE! He just went to the tyre places and asked for new old ones every few weeks/months! It was hell fun to drift around in (not that anyone was any good...and I didnt have my licence yet (but I did have a car...my good old HZ Belmont paddock basher!) Quote
demuire Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 In theory, from fastest to slowest: 4wd fwd rwd and obviously cars with better tyres will be faster around the pan. And, "funnest" to "not funnest" rwd 4wd (well, could be as fun as rwd but I recon rwd is more fun cause you go round the pan slower) fwd :P Quote
irokin Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 hrmm...I wanna get a bus in the skid pan....hehehehe FUN! Ive been in a big dennings coach in the snow when we drifted around the corner on the ice :P Soooo freaky! Quote
Medicine_Man Posted June 11, 2003 Author Report Posted June 11, 2003 I'm throwing my old stockos on when we go back to the skidpan, then I can go all out and not worrry about marking my new tyres  Quote
Medicine_Man Posted June 11, 2003 Author Report Posted June 11, 2003 Sif putting shitbox stockos on There not shit, they still have a fair bit of tread on them.. Quote
demuire Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 Justin: as if those simex's would ever wear out :P My riken's are down to like 10% thread now and my simexs still look brand new... Quote
