ke70dave Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 I have seen a photo on here very recently of both gearboxes next to each other. It was a rides thread...that's all I can recall..... Quote

oh what a nissan feeling! Posted October 10, 2012 Author Report Posted October 10, 2012 Cool thanks for that, i knew i had seen it on here but couldnt find it either, bookmark this time. Quote
ke70dave Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 That's the one! I've driven an 86 with an Sr20 box (~150mm back or so) its quite good if you are tall. Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted October 11, 2012 Author Report Posted October 11, 2012 I had an sr20 box in the ke30, and yeh i had no issues with the shifter position, The problem is the chunky housing around the shifter means lots of cut/weld to the seat floor brace to get the engine and box sitting level. Alot of people just hang the box down lower to miss everything, but alot of people use zippy ties for engine mounts too. Looking at my ke25 now and I don't want to have to do that, even with the rb20 box I'm not sure it will clear that floor brace completely. Quote
19914afc Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 I don't think I have ever seen zip ties used to mount an engine anywhere ever, I don't know if you're serious but yeah. haha. Quote
