rjenman Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Hey guys. Hope this isnt a stupid question: Does a 4K with an auto gearbox have exactly the same clutch as a 4K with a manual gearbox? i.e. I have an auto KE30 with 4K and a manual KE70 with 4K.... i want to put the 4K out of the KE30 into the KE70 and if i can use the clutch out of the KE30 that would be bonus because my current one is rooted. Forgot to check this at Coventry... hope someone can shed some light! Cheers:) Quote
TRD ke70 Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 (edited) auto gearboxes done have clutches like a manual. they have torque converters. sorry you have to buy a new clutch. Edited February 10, 2006 by TRD ke70 Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 You will also need to pull the flywheel off the manual KE70 4K, and the flexplate off the KE30 Auto 4K, and put the flywheel on it, as the auto flexplate is completely different to the manual flywheel. Clutch kits are only around $100 anyways, and well worth doing while everything is out, saves hassles later. Quote
