easyvision Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 (edited) hi all, this should be simple hopefully. going from ae71 auto to manual I have all the wiring sorted except the starter. on the back of the firewall the black connector with about 6 wires, I thought that bottom centre was the starter wire, do I just route that to my starter because I used a multimeter and it still has continuity even when I don't turn the key. Then on the other side of the engine bay near the battery there is a black and white wire, when I do continuity between that one and the one on the black connector continuity is perfect (key to start), but I don't understand what I have to wire to the starter. And how many terminals are there actually on the starter do I just put 1 positive as a solenoid trigger and the other positive from the battery. because I can see that the negative of the solenoid is bridged to the starter but don't understand how it works. pretty confused, any help would be great. thanks Edited September 29, 2012 by easyvision Quote
oldie Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 don't think you need to touch any of the engine bay or starter wiring, all you need too do is to bypass the neutral start saftey switch that is located under the cover for the auto T bar, unfortunately I can't tell you which wires these are, this you will have to sort out with a meter or a wiring diagram Quote
