SimonM Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 (edited) I've been watching ebay for about a year now. None in SA for sale :/ There's an old lady up the road from me who has a overrated-condition RT80/81 as a daily driver. I'm waiting for her to die or break a hip so I can buy it ;) Edited March 8, 2013 by SimonM Quote
SimonM Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 why does the word overrated come up as overrated?? Quote

SimonM Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 haha, brilliant! Started a thread for mine: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/65032-72-rt80-corona-on-her-death-bed-or-about-to-be-reborn/ Quote
Mark90 Posted March 8, 2013 Author Report Posted March 8, 2013 I'm glad it was my thread that educated someone in the M.i.n.t. thing :) Quote

Mark90 Posted March 24, 2013 Author Report Posted March 24, 2013 Thanks man, considering selling up though. Found out a few weeks ago I'm gonna need a family car soon ;) Me and my Mrs are obviously pretty stoked but I think I'll cry when the Corona goes. :( Quote
glenpos Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 congrats to you, poor rona though haha :( Quote
Mark90 Posted March 25, 2013 Author Report Posted March 25, 2013 Thanks man. I just need to figure out what it's worth before I put it up for sale. There aren't enough around to figure it out haha Quote
delorean88 Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Nice man... I wish I was running whitewalls... Mines too loud for that tho hehe Quote
Mark90 Posted April 7, 2013 Author Report Posted April 7, 2013 Thanks! We decided to keep the car, and I've bought a Commodore to cruise around in as a family car... Which works out perfect cos the Corona can now stay in the shed and get some love! First on the list is getting the rear leaf springs reset as one side has sagged :) Quote
Mark90 Posted June 3, 2013 Author Report Posted June 3, 2013 Sooooo... Nothing too exciting, but now that I have a daily I'm starting to tidy her up a bit more. Got my Whitewalls redone today, made a huge difference! Up next is the front windscreen seal I've had in the garage for 6 months, then a few touch ups of surface rust coming through (about two spots the size of a 20c piece) hopefully you'll all see a few more updates soon! Here's a before and after kinda thing: And a picture of the new daily: Quote
