LINDSAY Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 (edited) I love when people ignore what you're trying to tell them. Let me try again 1. Get your DCOE webers, pull them apart and you will find *removable air chokes* 2. These are bits of metal, with holes in them to let air through... 3. You can get them from 32mm up to 50mm+ 4. Measure the ones you have, and purchase (or machine yourself) smaller ones 5. Install into webers 6. Enjoy low end response under 3000 RPM :P I'VE GOT THE SMALLEST CHOKES IN THAT YOU CAN GET FOR THEM-STILL TOO BIG!!!! but thanks for your concern , doesn't matter anymore 4age in 2 weeks Edited February 12, 2006 by LINDSAY Quote
Redwarf Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 Dude, dyno time os a must for Webers. Possible jet sizing wrong? Quote
LINDSAY Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 dunno? i was getting this dude to tune it for me , reckon'd he had been working on webbers for 20 years and he spent a couple of days with the car trying different jets and stuff and said there wasn't much could be done, had a go myself but didn't end up much better, not tha i really new what i was doin with them? anyway just got to worry bout computers now Quote
Redwarf Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 Not a drama. Webers are a bit of an inexact science when it comes to tuning, hence they love a good dyno. I had the Brisbane GURU (and I man that in all sincerity) set mine up for both cars, but they still needed the jets fine tuned on the dyno. One car had to go bigger, one car had to go smaller. Computers are good, but EFI will never replace the sound of a good old fashioned Weber. :P Quote
