7shades Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Right. So... You're asking a Corolla forum About swapping a Nissan/Holden engine Into a Corona Using a CA20 crossmember, but not actually telling us which of the dozen or so RWD vehicles with CA20's the crossmember came from. I have no idea, but I can hazard a guess. No. Because they are completely different cars, with completely different engines, from completely different manufacturers. Why the the hell WOULD they bolt together. Quote
ke70dave Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 on a simliar note, I would like to know if a N1 rocket would bolt to my nissan micra using NASA rocket mount (found one going cheap on ebay, since nasa sold off all their rocket stuff) as for the original question, it might, or it might only need very lmiited modification. but the reality is there is absoluately no reason why it should. different cars, made by differnet manufactures, with different engines. i would be more worried about the steering rack and suspension components, rather than the engine. an rb30 corona would be hella fun, but yeah, save the hassell, and just get out the welder and make some mounts to suit your corona cross member.
