Chobis Posted September 5, 2012 Report Posted September 5, 2012 I think I took that photo? I'm jealous that you have that car now. Good buying mate. I had a good look at that car back in '09. Admittedly in now has 3 more years of life under it's belt, but it was in pretty good condition back then. Let me put my paint vote in for baby blue also. That one you posted above looks awesome and I have always loved that colour on small 60's and 70's cars. Always wanted to do my Mk1 Corty that colour with a white roof, but car is now gone. That's something you could consider on the 20. The white roof thing was pretty popular back in the 60's. Not sure how it would look on a 20, but I'm sure you can mock it up in P/Shop. Would be something a bit different and I reckon it would look tops. Quote
Tally Posted September 6, 2012 Author Report Posted September 6, 2012 (edited) Yea thats right man, I knew I had seen the car somewhere else so I searched the 2009 bay to birdwood thread and found the picture :P Its got a bit of surface rust and needs a few things fixed but overall a solid car. Pretty Keen on Baby/Sky Blue man appreciate your input. Ill pass on the white roof, thinking original white pinstripes down the sides though! Edited September 6, 2012 by Tally Quote
Chobis Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Yep white pinstripes would do the job! That'd look sweet. Just breaks up the blue a bit. Good buying! Quote

philbey Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 off topic, but I would stab people to get my hands on one of those KP31 Publica SR's. Quote
Tally Posted September 6, 2012 Author Report Posted September 6, 2012 off topic, but I would stab people to get my hands on one of those KP31 Publica SR's. The ones in those pics are KP47 Starlets actually man, very rare, can be found in Japan and South East Asia Quote

benhachi Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 Yeah that'll look really nice on a 25. Bright colours seem to be the go with ke2x's Quote
Tally Posted September 7, 2012 Author Report Posted September 7, 2012 (edited) had some dramas already arghhhhhhh, battery not charging and bonnet lock not closing broke down in the city today as battery died, so got a jump-start, it was night time but when tried to turn lights on, it would die instantly. So thinking its dirty/corroded/rusted contacts in the wiring loom, but could be faulty alternator.... Will have to get the multi meter out and check the volts. Edited September 7, 2012 by Tally Quote
Tally Posted September 8, 2012 Author Report Posted September 8, 2012 (edited) Fixed the battery issue so all good. Engine off multi meter reads 13.7 V, engine on reads constant 14.35 V But I need a new bonnet as this one is stuffed, if anyone has one in adelaide let me know!
