Willis Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 I'm also very interested to see what you come up with, AE86 suspension/brake setups are too expensive for what they are me thinks. Mine hasn't been too expensive. Cheers again Rian. Helped out a bunch. Quote
Trev Posted August 12, 2012 Author Report Posted August 12, 2012 Yeah, until it breaks anyway, I hope I don't have to go down the W box and diff swap path. Some more pics: Anyone know if this is just CS-X trim or spirit? Need to replace the drivers seat: Full collection of books and receipts including the one for the engine rebuild 120'000k's ago (dated 1997, didn't see it yesterday). I went to put the rear cheviots on but one has a hole in it. Quote
ninja-philbo Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 Not the hat but the kid wearing it :P. prick :P keen to come check this out man. Quote

The price is stupid as soon as you put AE86 into a sale. I want to get a ae86 efi tank but for the price I could get mine converted to a swirl pot and run an intank pump kit. 1 Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 (edited) Thats a Spirit interior and colour coded spirit grill. Pretty sure I have a drivers side tail light in good nick, I know one of them is scratched and shit. Ill check, and you can have it if its good. Edited August 12, 2012 by B.L.Z.BUB Quote
Trev Posted August 12, 2012 Author Report Posted August 12, 2012 Yeah as per our conversation yesterday, I think it is a spirit, just weird that it is only badged a CS-X and has no boot or fuel popper. Ok, cheers, doesn't matter if you don't as I might get some DX lights for it. Quote
Willis Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 The W box isn't TOO much of a hassle. It's just a little more expensive haha. W55's have very similar ratios to T50's. And T series' are getting a little expensive but you can find them cheap enough. Got mine for 200... Apparently the 86 EFI tank setups surge anyway so it's probably worth setting up your own.. Not telling you what to do or anything..Haha. Keen to see it all happen anyway man. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 I don't have a surge tank or an EFI fuel tank and Ive NEVER had an issue and I do hill runs and drive it hard with fumes left in the tank. Quote
Willis Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 What do you have Reed? I think I've asked you this before but can't remember. I remember something about one large pump though? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 Walbro 225 and standard fuel lines. Quote
TOMsGPTurbo Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 I was meant to get an auto AE71 as the mrs car was going to be taken off the road for a freshen up but this came up cheap so I decided to get it and fix her car up over the xmas holidays. Basic run down: AE71 cs-x, 281,000k's, full collection of log books (including the toyota phillips book) and receipts (last 10 years anyway. 4a & T50. 13 x 6 -0 4 spoke wheels (not sure if dragway or not as I haven't looked) aswell as 4 stockies. Cut springs as well as a spare stock set. Bunnings warehouse garden lip. Has rust around the rear end, broken tail light and a missing gutter strip as well as a torn base on the drivers seat. I fell asleep when I got home so only have these pics: Rad car Trev! Congrats on the purchase, I can't wait to see this beast going! Quote

Keen to see it all happen anyway man. 1000 to 1200 bucks to setup a W box If I can do an under car surge then that is fine, I just don't want it in the boot. Was looking at this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/200434994587?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_815wt_952 I don't have a surge tank or an EFI fuel tank and Ive NEVER had an issue and I do hill runs and drive it hard with fumes left in the tank. Not sure I wanna risk it with boost. Rad car Trev! Congrats on the purchase, I can't wait to see this beast going! Thanks Tom. Quote
Jono.C Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 You could look at jamming one of those foam cubes in the tank? Few drift cars down here run them.. They sell ones specifically for fuel use Only thing is e85 eats it Quote
Trev Posted August 12, 2012 Author Report Posted August 12, 2012 (edited) Looks like a goer: http://www.ebay.com....9#ht_1502wt_952 Edited August 12, 2012 by Trev Quote
