Mr Hardware Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 and thats one of the reasons my next car is a gas fowlcoon. the most torque you can get out of any six cylinder. Four times the torque of the 4k. its so weird taking a huge automatic 4L falcon taxi to bed in the brakes or whatnot and getting in my ke55 to drive home. Its an unbelievable step backwards, even tho the cab has 500,000 and the little corollie only has 339,000. poor little car, its life is very limited with me. i'm selling it veeery soon(like within the next 4-5 months). Guest Brad Posted February 5, 2006 Report Posted February 5, 2006 Righto, but because my car isn't exactly running well, and it drinks oil like nothing else revving it like hell only makes things worse, I still can't get the guts to do it, it wouldn't feel right but whatever floats ya boat. love ke70 Posted February 5, 2006 Author Report Posted February 5, 2006 sounds like some one needs a rebuild, then you can do what your meant to do to a corolla and we all know, that corolla is japanese for rev its titties off :P Quote
Guest Brad Posted February 5, 2006 Report Posted February 5, 2006 True I do need a rebuild, but I'm probably better off sourcing a 4K, 5K. Plus my car is a pretty stock KE35, actually Grandma spec. Hell give me a 3K in a Corolla that wasn't mine and I'd probably treat it like it should. Brad Quote
love ke70 Posted February 5, 2006 Author Report Posted February 5, 2006 the only thing none grandma spec in my ke70 is the lack of chrome trim and the bump things on the doors, along with a killer stereo. either get a rebuild, or get a 4k and get yourself pushing that corolla like you should :D although that said since this incident i havnt taken her over 5500, i tend to run out of fuel around that point anyway, need a carby kit. jet doesnt keep flowing as u open the throttle by hand, only to about 80% so I'm not sure if somethin needs adjusting or just needs fixing, but the difference taking her to 5000 compared to changin at 3000 is just amazing, such a better ride when u stretch her legs up to speed, but that doesnt stop me puttin it in 5th at 60km when drifting thru town. to accelerate use the revs :y: Quote
Guest Brad Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 But 4,000rpm sounds like its ready to explode, plus my fan hits the metal protection thing. Brad Quote
Corolla_Kid Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Well just get a file and make the bolt holes bigger so it doesn't rub. There is room for adjustment in the radiator shroud. Quote

mikeys toy[RL] Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 (edited) *quote* Did you know, the bottom end of a K engine is based on a Chevy V8 design ? BULLLLLCRAP!!!! if this were the case they wouldn't make it 100,000mi... toyota "borrowed" the engine design from the chrysler slant six.....i will post pics to prove it just imagine it slanted the other way Edited February 16, 2006 by mikeys toy Quote
