JordyKE Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 Hey, I'm almost certain there's a difference between the 3K and 5K water pumps... Are there any differences? Cheers Quote
Jono.C Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 The only real difference I know of on K waterpumps us the pulley shaft, some are longer or shorter depending what car they're for, also the 4 holes are drilled in different spacings on some. Also pretty sure my ke10 waterpump doesn't have the piece for the waterline like a ke70 one Quote

I'll run a 3K/4K one on my 5K, as if i put the 5K pump on, i would need to change the fan and everything becsause they are made for a van obviously. I think it should be fine. I'll take the one that fits to the 5K and make sure the bolt holes line up and eveyrthing. I'll take the Quote
Jono.C Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 You'll need the ke26 one. Like if you ask for a 4k one you might ke70 which is different fan bolt pattern and sits too close or further away from the radiator. Had the issue when we got given a ke55 waterpump and went to put it on a ke70 Quote
coln72 Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 (edited) You can press off the flanges and change them if you need to. Anyway, if you run an electric fan, you can ditch the engine fan and it wont matter what pump you run :) Edited July 21, 2012 by coln72 Quote

philbey Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 From my huntin there are at least 3 variations of the k engine water pump. Centre boss diameter, PCD and longditudinal pulley offset are all different, as well as the heater hose connections. Quote
