Have you seen them?? Edit: If this is true he should build a shrine for all us Rolla nuts to come see them (through thick glass of corse). It would be like our Mecca  Edited July 13, 2012 by 67Rolla-Ken Quote
ATOYOTA Posted July 13, 2012 Report Posted July 13, 2012 You can see from one of the pictures he's got one of those Radical SR8's (with the clinically insane Hyabusa V8) in the background. The guy's rich, and from the looks of it, a wee bit mental. Quote

It would be like our Mecca  Unfortunately I cannot confirm this, I have been advised by several enthusiasts and even a mature gentleman whom knew this person spoke with me at petrol station about a year ago, These things are under lock and key, I did get a name and for the life of me can't remember Quote
altezzaclub Posted July 13, 2012 Report Posted July 13, 2012 I never did run into the guy again who had the AE86 I found in the supermarket carpark in Cairns. He bought it new and has owned it ever since, but seeing he and his wife have 4WDs it never gets used nowdays, and he was my age (60+) He was driving it that day as his 4WD was in getting serviced. So, they are still out there!! Quote
parrot Posted July 14, 2012 Report Posted July 14, 2012 A friend of mine has a TA23 I think, with delivery kilometres on it. I haven't seen it personally as it is stored away, but it occasionally gets displayed in dealerships with whom he is connected. Quote

Trev Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 My thoughts exactly Jono, some idiot will be saying that the 86 will be going to waste cause it isn't being drifted. Quote
orangeLJ Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 You have to question someones logic when they lock away what is/was, realisitically, not ever going to be a big dollar car. I mean, its cool, but seriously? he couldnt think of something more investment worthy to lock away? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 19, 2012 Author Report Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) Why does it need to be an investment? It's a time capsule, you could test the air quality of Japan in the early 80's by the air in the spare tyre. While it may not have any real world value in terms of a high return investment, as a piece of automotive history its priceless. Edited July 19, 2012 by B.L.Z.BUB Quote
