Dust03 Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 i wanna run some neg camber on my KE55 Corolla but as i have found i can't use camber tops as the strut tops are to close to the strut tower and i can't bend the struts as my ma61 rims are rather close to the strut i found a thing on lengths from other cars what do people run and recommend? Model - Length - CT Dia RA40 - 300mm - 12mm TA22 - 300mm - 12mm AE86 - 300mm - 12mm KE55 - 300mm - 12mm KE70 - 290mm - 12mm XT130 - 310mm - 12mm (RT132 too?) MX73 - 304mm -12mm MX62 - 365mm - 12mm GE Sigma - 330mm - 12mm S13 - 350mm - 14mm also what is involved in fitting these, esp the S13 ones? Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 KE30/55 and XT130 LCA's are the same length. How much camber do you want? I would probably go MX73 or GE Sigma out of that list. Fitting vary's for each one! Quote
Zoidburg Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 Yeah I fitted some from a Sigma to my KE-30 2 door. It has a ridiculous amount of camber! It looks fairly extreme, but it actually drives far better like that. Even feels more planted in a straight line too. If you go that way, you will need the Sigma ball joints too. I also had to grind the bushings on the LCA a little bit, but nothing drastic. Unfortunately this has left me with a fair bit of toe. Does anyone know the name of the part you screw out to adjust the toe angle? I need longer one's if that's possible. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 (edited) Its called the Tie-rod end. This should help both of you. http://www.rollaclub...ke70ke3x5x-faq/ Edited July 1, 2012 by It's_AUDM_Yo Quote

Thanks yes i found this with mine, toe is a bit excessive but its needed with the camber n handles way better Quote
springersrolla Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 i put sigmas in mine, got the wheel alignment and i think there was around -2.2degrees, it has a noticeable stance but as K&S says it handles heaps better, wind a die nut down your castor rods and off you go. Its not overly difficult, i had to grind down the lca bushes and filed the taper on the ball joints. would definately recommend doing it to upgrade the handling http://www.reocities.com/colosseum/4883/ and check out handling mods johnnys the man Quote

towe001 Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 AE86 - 300mm - 12mm KE55 - 300mm - 12mm KE70 - 290mm - 12mm I thought the '86 had the same length arms as the '7x Quote
tc-rolla Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 Sorry for the hijack but if you were to use xt130 lcas in a ke70, are the bushes and ball joints the same or different? Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 Yeah AE86 and *E7* are the same because the AE86dc guys also use KE30/55/XT130 upgrade. tc-rolla: yeah that will fit together fine just get KE30/55 ones if you want to save money as they are the same. Quote
