Exhaust Ke70

I have been reading up about exhausts for a ke70 and what people have chosen to use.

I still can't get my head around what's best for me, it's my daily, stock 4k, I want a little bit more grunt and a nice note to it.

A rough price would be a help as well

1.75 inch preferably, maximum 2". Extractors to hotdog to sports muffler. Do not put a cannon on.

i bought mine off a bloke who got it made at well hung exhausts down at lonsdale, 2 1/2" with a hotdog and dump pipe, nice note and i think he got it for around 250 - 300?

I got three quotes for exhausts from some different places around brisbane, the quotes were for a 2" system w/ extractors to a hotdog and then to the sports muffler.

What's better to go with? 2" or 1 3/4"?

I don't want it to be heaps noisy as I'm on my ps and don't want to attract to much attention but I do want a bit better performance.

 

So far the best price I have been quoted is $750 for extractors, 2" system, resonator and sport muffler

I wouldn't worry about the noise it generates as the resonator and muffler should take care of that. I had extractors to a 2 1/4 exhaust (too big) with resonator and sports muffler and it sounded great, not too noisy at all.

Youre not gonna get much more power without engine mods.

I had a 2" system with extractors on my 3k which made it go a bit better and sounded good. Quiet... Unless you got on it and higher in revs it was raspy... Which is what you want I think

AAA exhausts but I called exhaust technology and they said they could maybe match it, so I guess some other places may do it?

Oh cool, thanks for that, AAA exhausts are pretty close to me so I'll probably just go with them depending on when they can get it done.

I know the extractors are illegal on my p plates but is the exhaust system illegal or not?
