scotty.bmx Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 my driver window RH side has been stuffing up. when it winds down, it pops off the rails then winds up on a angle. it doesnt slide up into the spot it is meant to unless i guide it. some times it just gets to a point where it wont go up or down. its a manual winder and the tab where the front arm connects to has broken off but i have zip tied it to the point that it is in the proper spot. if anyone can help out in any way, i'd appreciate it. i want to get tint but not if the window keeps playing up. if you need photos or a video, ill do my best to grab them. just want this window fixed so i can use it when summer comes around and i can get my windows tinted. thank you Quote
parrot Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 Look inside the door and fix it. If that's too hard, should be easy enough to find a complete door the same colour and replace the whole thing. Quote
scotty.bmx Posted June 21, 2012 Author Report Posted June 21, 2012 yeah that helped. as i said, ive tried to fix it but not having the outta chrome trim on the door on my window makes me wonder if thats the reason or not Quote
corollaparts69 Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 Hello, I have a set of doors from a seca for sale.White in colour.Located at Goodna 4300 brisbane southside.I will consider seperating the drivers door and/or glass and fitting,if need be.I am wrecking a ae92 seca twincam model. Thank you...skip. Quote
Azammit Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 I am having the same problem as Scotty.bmx with my AE92 corolla. My driver's side window becomes twisted and pops out of the mechanism that winds up and down. I took the door apart and put the window back in the slot at the top of the winder mechanism. It worked for about a week and then the original problem happened again. There doesn't seem to be anything holding the window to the winder mechanism except the rubber lining the slot at the top of the winder. Also, The window doesn't slide smoothly up and down in the tracks in the door. Can the tracks be lubricated in some way? Any suggestions on how to fix the problem? Quote
darkage Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 I haven't really looked into this but would a new window regulator help ? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-Corolla-Seca-Front-Right-Window-Regulator-89-94-/130521038879?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&fits=Plat_Gen%3AAE92&hash=item1e63a9001f You can use lithium grease on the tracks, but best to check what kind of grease is already on there. white/dark/creme colour ? Its not good to mix different types of greases together. Quote
Azammit Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 Gary, thanks for the suggestion. for around $50, i may as well try a new window regulator. Quote
