Less pipework, less mufflers = less weight :)

I run a sidepipe on the purple track torana behind the passengers door and the rear wheel arch (2 door LJ)

make sure you have a fixed loop to catch the outlet pipe if any of your bracketry under the car fails (Mine sits just in past the sill, welded to the floorpan)

Also, make sure you extend the outlet past the edge of the sill slightly, otherwise all you will end up with is black spatter and soot all over your sill.

Put a decent muffler on it and you wont have too many troubles.

I want to just run a resonator off each bank and run them just behind the doors on each side, wonder if it would just sound like 2 4 cylinders :) haha.

Well no pics or vids but I can tell you that it's insanely loud. Probably bordering on the threshold of pain at 7000rpm. I need earplugs, a helmet and my passenger windows up for it to be remotely bearable from inside the car. God knows how it would be affecting other peoples hearing... I'll be having a muffler thrown in as soon as the money's there.

I had two 2-1 headers on mine for quite some time, 1 and 3 on one and 2 and 4 on the other, but ran both pipes out the back between the springs and fender. You got a kind of 2 cylinder sound if you stood to the side but sounded normal from the back. I had 2 mufflers on it so it wasn't very loud but ran fantastic...way more torque than I have now..(I had a 1K head on the 3K too which I think was giving me 10-1...it's now cracked pretty good too),the headers eventually started cracking up too bad and had to go back stock. Can't seem to find a header anywhere in the states any more...3K, 4K, or even 5K all fit the same don't they?

does anyone remember that swedish or finnish dude on here with the 2 door ke70 with a 20v? or maybe just a 4age that ran a side pipe through his interior then out behind the rhs front tyre (left hand drive). Look awesomeness, dunno about practicality and functionality and all those improtant things.

Surely the noise reduction from an extra metre of pipe or so isn't much, so its more the muffler you use than the side-pipe exit.

We used one on the rally Datsun always, it tucked up behind the back seat footwell and didn't need to go through the crossmember or under the half-shaft. It still had a big muffler on.

The only other con would be getting monoxide sucked inside the car through the door seals..

Got plenty of that. Still figuring out if window down or window up is better...I tried not to stay out on the track for too long. It's okay when you're putting it but once you start getting up on it, it gets worse...
