74coupe Posted June 11, 2012 Report Posted June 11, 2012 Give bay auto paints in mornington a call they even did a spra can for me for a touch up. Quote
towe001 Posted June 13, 2012 Report Posted June 13, 2012 With you being in Toowoomba, drop into Sedl Agencies on south street (across from where the sale yards are). While they won't colour match for the general public (paint to paint matching), they will help with matching the paint by colour cards. Make sure you take in a panel (eg boot lid) that has the colour your wanting. If you do drop in ask for Richard, he's the better one to see with the paint. Hopefully he's still there. Quote
parrot Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 The problem you face is that the paint colours were different for Australian built cars and Japanese built cars. If Aust built, unlikely to appear on the paint chips available on the web. From memory Aust cars used dulux paint. Fairly recently, a set of the Aust paint chips were for sale on ebay. Don't know if anyone on here bought them? Quote
JJT036 Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 paint code should be on the id tags of the car if not go to a ppg dealer /specialist with one panel and they should have a thing call a spectro this will give you the exact match to your car cheers Woz Quote
