Falken_KE30 Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 (edited) as title says, can get one for cheap, next to nothen, can it be rejetted to suit a 4k?, it came off a 1.6L gemini motor, which had only extractors, and it ran really well, and if anything was runing a bit lean... i might just grab it just in case, Thanks Edited January 27, 2006 by Falken_KE30 Quote
Felix Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 no, i think he means 38/38. they are to big for a 1300cc 4k. a 32/36 is still even on the large side. Quote
Teddy Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 i had a 32 32 ? on my corolla, before i went to the "good intake :)" - once i got the thing tuned up, it ran pretty ok... for what it was. Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted January 23, 2006 Author Report Posted January 23, 2006 well, gunna go see about the 38 weber later today, should be able to get it for $50 with airfilter., then $20 for adaptor. far as i know before my mate got it for his gem (was only on for 1 month before motor blew), it was on a KE70 with 4K, large cam, extractors with 2", and a 3K head, was bought from a fella in the mainland....so i dunno, it did run lean on his motor, and it was tuned a few times, couldnt get it to run a bit richer, so maybe it had smaller jets to suit the 4k? irokin Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 Didnt Xany have something like a 38ADF on his? It was super boggy and ALWAYS running rich...and that was a worked 5K... Quote

Dude, listen to Felix, the man knows. I'm not fan of down drafts at the best of times (I think they make excellent paper weights), but the smaller one is the go if you have to. Xany Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 I had a Falcon weber on mine, 34ADM i think it was.....wayyyy to big for any K engine. It ran, but not well....if i was to "get under it" it would blow this huge arse big black smoke screen out the back end.....and the people behind me would give me dirty looks...:P That was when i first got the engine running, I then aquired irokins old carby off his 3k ke20, it was a 32ADFA and it was much better....we got the car to run fairly good with that carby, it just needed slightly bigger jets, but it was running fine, so i didnt bother. I now have twin 1.5 inch Su's on it, IMHO i reckon atm the su's are about the same as the single 32adfa, however the su's do need different needles in them. Its running fine atm, i reckon i've lost a bit of top speed accleration, but i've gained it down low. Quote
irokin Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 I'll buy the 32ADFA back off ya Xany if youve still got it :P Quote
Teddy Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 (edited) Hahah, Sorry Simon.. but this was really your car before you changed over to something more appropriate :P Edited January 25, 2006 by Teddy Quote
irokin Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 the 5K loves Elf Atmo Boost :P (poured from a Liquid nitrogen container :P) Quote

love ke70 Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 how does ur cam affect your compression by that much? well what would be expecting from a 4k? they arnt high compression engines anyway... Quote
