Cheap ebay rally retreads on some Japanese Space Crew V-1's in excavator orange. Lovely.

That mis-tinted 'excavator orange' is closer to 'space crew' orange anyway, so it matches the wheels perfectly :)

I'll be interested to hear how the rally recaps go. Have you ever run proper tyres to compare against?

No, we've only done a few events and used the studded ice tyres, which according to the rally tyre salesman I spoke to are pretty hard to beat. If these retreads are adequate, they'll make replacing tyres very cheap.
