JZZ30 sump is mid/rear, JZX100 is front.

I knew it was one and I did have pics of the differences but I dunno where they are.

I didn't think 1jz could be engineered in NSW ? Or is it just a turbo version that can't be engineered ?

Highly highly unlikely you'll see an NA 1JZ swap though, very rare to see in the country as the importers generally only bring over the performance versions (and the non-turbo Soarers were 2JZ)....

n/a Aristo 2jz sumps are front sumps and interchange. Can be sourced by some jap wreckers for a decent price. you will need the oil pick up to go with it

yea I think the choice I have is the front sump and I actually source one already, should be here very soon,

hopefully this should work

thanks

Henry

As a few people have said you need to track down a a front sump set up off a 1JZ to make it work with out major mods. Do a little more research and see if you can track one down, not easy to find seperated from a 1jz but see how you go.

I see, thanks for letting me know about the crossmember modification. Right now, we are not touching the crossmember but

making a new engine mounts once the front sump arrives.

thanks

Henry

engineers in NSW do NOT like you modifying the crossmember.

Have a chat to 1jz rolla from the toymods link, and ask which version jz sump he used. Most likely you just have to get the right match of sump to fit the engine in.

The 1JZ I have came out of Soarer, and it was a front sump. :n:

Apparently Chaser have the front sump version. :y:

The soarer sump and the chaser sump are different but I cannot remember what one was which, I think the soarer may have been the front sump.

don't know how they did it, but I did see a few of the AE71 with 1JZ- single turbo running around in Sydney. I think I could be the first one running a stock twin turbo in Sydney very soon, but I won't be surprised if someone also has already taken that position. :hammer:

Single turbo apparently is easier compare with twin turbo.

thanks
