scotty.bmx Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 (edited) So i bought STOCK central locking off buytry1 (eBay user) and i have no idea on earth how to install this. I have no idea what part goes where or ANYTHING AT ALL if someone has previously installed this kit into their car, or knows where a write up is online or step by step OR they can write a step by step now, id appreciate it so so much. I'm utterly confused and I'm not going to rip my car apart when all it should of been was a simple install. thank you!! http://cgi.ebay.com....em=110862671985 Edited May 16, 2012 by scotty.bmx Quote

rian Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 (edited) Here is how I did it: This is the front door (the little electric motor is mounted in the bottom right of the door) And a close up The kit should have instructions in it on how to install it, it's not too hard, you just need some tools and the instructions. Then pull your door card off and figure out where you can mount it, drill some holes and screw it in on the bracket that comes with the kit. Edited May 17, 2012 by rian Quote
scotty.bmx Posted May 17, 2012 Author Report Posted May 17, 2012 Its a AE92 sedan and there were no instructions included Quote
ke70dave Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 probably becasue its a gineric kit for all cars. there should be wiring instructions though? the little actuator things arent designed to suit any car, you need to customise it for your own car like rian has done. basically get out the actuator and see how it works, then pull appart your door and see how it works, then figure out a way to fit the actuator so that it opperates the door properly and doesnt get in the way of the rest of the mechanisms inside the door. after a quick google there is apparently OEM central locking available for the ae92. 19914afc Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 Yeah there were some of the higher end models came out with central locking, and its not a just simple install, well it is if you know what you're doing. Quote
scotty.bmx Posted June 21, 2012 Author Report Posted June 21, 2012 sorry for the late reply. here is the link again to what I'm in possesion of for my central locking. it isnt one like rian has, its a stock type so that has made me more confussed. still no instructions found to install http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-Corolla-AE92-94-Complete-ORIGINAL-Central-Locking-Unit-MUST-HAVE-/110862671985?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19cfee2071#ht_926wt_1037 Quote
