guzza Posted May 15, 2012 Report Posted May 15, 2012 hey everyone am about to start my project of putting a 1uzfe into my ke20 and making it road legal but not real sure on what brakes, front struts/front suspension, steering, rear diff and rear suspension would fit best without having to alter to much. thanks Quote
LukeAE71 Posted May 15, 2012 Report Posted May 15, 2012 Ke20 coupe is under 800kg which means biggest engine na is 3 x weight. That gives you 2400cc na as biggest engine. 1uzfe would be a no go. 1 Quote
white_sandshoe Posted May 15, 2012 Report Posted May 15, 2012 Only way around that is to modify it so heavily, (Meaning, the majority of the supporting crossmembers altered, which for a KE20 translates to most of the floorpan) that it can be registered as an ICV, or Individually Constructed Vehicle... and THAT is a "head intercourse" Quote
dreamin Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 In vic its 4x the weight of ur car. In standard form. I looked into this conversion for my ke30. On the rego label vic roads has them recorded at 1100kg when they're only 900ish. So technically i could've got it engineered but i decided against it as it is a costly conversion. Quote
LukeAE71 Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 Under 800 is 3 x. A ke20 coupe would be under 800 Quote
