johneastgate Posted May 11, 2012 Report Posted May 11, 2012 Hi, I am chucking a 12A rotary in my KE 25 and am looking to upgrade the front brakes etc. Is there an easy or recommended conversion I can use? Thanks, John Quote
Tally Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 AE86 front struts will give you not only crazy amounts of options for brakes, but also will give you bigger shocks and ability to run coilovers :) Quote

74coupe Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 Do u have to run bigger rims with the upgrade? Quote
Tally Posted May 13, 2012 Report Posted May 13, 2012 well stock KE25s are 12" 4x110, but if you go AE86 struts, they are 4x114.3 stud pattern, so yes will need to change to bigger rims Quote
benhachi Posted May 13, 2012 Report Posted May 13, 2012 Yes I think that ae86's run 13-14" from factory. If you can get a hold of te27 steering arms it will make life easy. Straight bolt in 86 coilovers. Quote
Jono.C Posted May 13, 2012 Report Posted May 13, 2012 You can run 13" over stock JDM/ADM ae86 brakes. I just went t18 instead. Was much cheaper than dealing with ae86 fanboys and their insanely overpriced parts.. Ae86 and t18 struts are virtually the same anyway, just different spring perches and stub axles. I'd go as far to say t18 brakes stop better than ADM '86 brakes.. Quote
Tally Posted May 13, 2012 Report Posted May 13, 2012 however Ae86 struts are closest to TE27 struts so much better becasue keeps factory geometry as close as possible... Quote
johneastgate Posted May 15, 2012 Author Report Posted May 15, 2012 Cheers for the info. Gives me something to think about Quote
